The MIDRC Learning Portal is a centralized hub for medical imaging education, offering tutorials, demonstrations, and interactive tools (including Jupyter notebooks) that guide learners through foundational concepts in data science and AI research. Topics span data models, common data elements, interoperability across repositories, privacy-preserving record linkage (PPRL), representativeness in medical datasets, and the principles of open science. Funded by the National AI Research Resource (NAIRR) Secure Pilot and co-led by the National Institutes of Health and the U.S. Department of Energy, MIDRC-Learn is dedicated to training the next generation of medical AI researchers and educators. Drawing on MIDRC's expertise in interoperable medical imaging data, the portal provides model datasets, best practice guidelines, and educational content illustrating how securely linking patient imaging with clinical data across institutions can advance research, improve representativeness across populations, and promote scientific transparency.
