MIDRC-Global Team.
MIDRC has been awarded a generous grant from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative DAF, an advised fund of Silicon Valley Community Foundation, to fuel the development of MIDRC-Global, an international initiative aimed at expanding the MIDRC data commons to transform medical imaging research on a global scale. Currently, 2 global sites are participating, one in Kenya and one in Ghana.

Dr. Sitienei is a Consultant Radiologist and Lecturer at the Moi University School of Medicine. She also serves as Chair of the Department of Radiology & Imaging at the Moi University College of Health Sciences. Her expertise spans multimodality diagnostic imaging, including X-rays, CT, MRI, and ultrasound imaging. She is actively engaged in research at Moi University and through collaborations with other institutions.

Dr. Afriyie-Mensah is a Consultant Pulmonologist and Specialist in Internal Medicine at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital, and an Associate Professor at the University of Ghana Medical School, Legon. Her research focuses primarily on respiratory medicine, and she has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on lung cancer, pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia, asthma, and related conditions. Her current research interests center on lung cancer and interstitial lung diseases (ILDs).
