MIDRC: Engaging the Cancer Imaging Research Community
Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 11:00 AM CST, 1h, in E353B
Description:
This session aims to acquaint the attendee with MIDRC, its data, and its tools. The various MIDRC tools are open to all AI investigators, whether they are developers, evaluators, or clinical users of AI. Examples will be given and related to routine clinical care. With one such example, attendees will learn the potential role of large language models in routine clinical radiology practice and in benefitting patients' understanding. The goal is to have AI benefit the radiological imaging exam as well as the patient in understanding the exam and its resulting findings. Ultimately, attendees will appreciate the role and need for data to advance the field of AI and enable translation to clinical use for the benefit of patient care.
Learning Objectives:
1) Appreciate the various MIDRC tools that are open to all AI investigators.
2) Learn the potential role of large language models in routine clinical radiology practice and in benefitting patients' understanding.
3) Understand the role and need for data to advance the field of AI and enable translation to clinical use for the benefit of patient care.
Topic: [Artificial Intelligence] [Imaging Informatics]
